Time to buy your lucky rake, and enjoy Japan’s most beautiful people

 

The Shinjuku San Chome station of the Tokyo Metro is all dolled up for this year’s Tori no Ichi festival, where you can buy lucky rakes and eat and drink with Tokyo’s most gorgeous people. In a fluke of the lunar calendar, this year there will be 3 events in November: tonight and tomorrow, Nov 14 and 15, and Nov 26 and Nov 27. I’ll try to be there as often as possible.

If you’re in Tokyo, I highly recommend it. Apparently, Asakusa is more traditional. Hanazono shrine in Shinjuku is, I believe, the most gorgeous, power spot in Japan.

Would you pay this woman to “learn to love”?!?

The esteemed Guardian newspaper colorfully describes a lack of sexual desire and practice among young Japanese. Apparently, it’s “too troublesome” to deal with sex or marriage. What I found most unbelievable is the report that this red gloved woman, with the improbable name of Ai Aoyama, earns a living providing sex counseling to the unwilling.

World’s most awkward couple?

 

Not a lot of chemistry there, although I heard they have a shared interest in meta-data.

Japan’s most famous gay adult video star, seen in Ni Chome

On the day I got my new digital camera, I saw Koh Masaki, Japan’s most famous gay adult movie star, being interviewed by two drag queens “live” at Alamas Cafe in Shinjuku Ni Chome. Immediately the camera purchase seemed like a good idea ; )

On the sidewalk, I chatted with other fans of his body of work. Whether natural or enhanced, Koh has several unique talents.
