I’ve already embraced the head towel as a summer necessity. But I wonder if the now popular, above-the-calf bracelet is a bit contrived. Am I slow to adapt?

There was a lot of fun at the beach in Kamakura today, despite it being a weekday. For us, it was a belated holiday since we worked throughout last week’s obon vacation. Seems like a lot of college and high schoolers were enjoying some freedom before school starts again. The waves were strong and fun. Thanks, S, for great outing.

Good news. Tattoos still visible at beach, despite threats of banishment
In Kamakura, despite the “new rules” banning tattoos, there were plenty of tattoos. A win for freedom and moe.
