At Koh-sama’s memorial service, hair was flying and panties showing

As I said before, I went to porn superstar Koh Masaki’s memorial service not knowing quite what to expect. Would it be heavy? In fact, hair was flying, panties showing, and humor and comaraderie reigned. I love how this tranny worked the flight attendant outfit, evoking Koh sama’s recent super-sexy Pan Am costume, and the “have a nice flight” theme of the memorial.

Construction worker fashion

Yesterday was the 3 month anniversary of the Tohoku earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster. No better time than now to look closely again at one of my favorite Japanese male fashions: gatenki (ガテんキ). As J-son noticed immediately on his first visit, gatenki combine making-stuff masculinity with super baggy pants that are vaguely Yoji Yamamoto in styling.

On weekdays I escape the tedium of rote learning for a balcony break overlooking a construction site for a 20-some story office building. It’s fun to watch the cranes, steel, and heavy equipment, but even more sublime when my break time coincides with theirs.

I feel safer and intrigued by daily sightings of these ninja-like male fashion icons.

Femme hotness in countryside

I realize I don’t show much female fashion in Japan. However, the countryside convinces me that the world may not have sufficient cosmetics for long. Heavy make-up, piles of blond hair, dark tans, ciggies and traditional costume. Wow!

At the event we attended, there was a large group of women wearing traditional outfits with neon blue leg-warmers. Japan, you are the mistress of mix-and-match fashion. I love it!

Even the swan boats in this country town have luscious long lashes!
