Chanel is for barnyards

Of course, you already knew that. The reason to buy Chanel outfits is so that you can visit barnyards. This new hayseed window display on Omotesando cracked me up.

It seems there’s a rash of foreign luxury brands romancing wealthy shoppers with the fantasy of living the farm and blue collar lifestyles. Up the street is Dolce & Gabanna’s campaign featuring a huge poster of Madonna (the Madonna) washing dishes in a bustier. She wears a facial expression that shows how mystified she is by her actions.

Count me as indifferent to Dolce & Gabanna leaving Japan (as reported by Bryan Boy). I prefer the chance to take bigger style risks shopping at ultra-cheap fast fashion places like Forever 21, H&M, and Muji.

Shirtless Hollister door guys are sign of NYC spring

Received this skanky news of spring’s arrival in New York City, via Bryan Boy’s Twitter feed. News travels quickly all the way to the Philippines. Full “Beefcake is back” article here. Japan has sakura and hanami, NYC has shirtless male models. And somewhere birds are migrating. . .

Could this be true?

Via Bryan Boy‘s Twitter stream (and his retweeting), I came across this alleged outtake from Madonna’s W magazine photo shoot with her young Brazilian boyfriend. I don’t know if it’s true, but her outfit and his body do match the published photos, including the one below.

If you need to see more of Jesus’ shaved crotch, click here (NSFW). My conclusion is that Photoshop, make-up and trusted photographers are a lady’s best friend.

One Life to Live, Bringing BL to Amerika?!

開けましておめでとうございます!

One Life to Live brought the first gay male sex scene to daytime TV in Amerika. I love how it begins and ends with candles and fireworks. This female-focused gay love makes me wonder if the US has finally realized that ladies might enjoy watching gay male sex as much as straight guys enjoy faux lesbianism. This would represent a belated import from Asia, bringing BL or boys love across the Pacific. Now they just need better music for love-making!

Here’s the video:

And here’s what my favorite blogger Bryan Boy wrote in his Twitter stream: “I bet housewives all across america were fingering themselves to this.”
