Wow! That’s a lot of hair-covered muscle from Oosunaarashi, the hot Egyptian sumo wrestler. There’s been plenty of Mongolians and East Europeans, but Oosunaarashi is probably the first Arab to compete at the top level.
This photo from New York’s East Village cheers me up. When will that gay rebel Bradley Manning, the one who downloaded terrabytes of government secrets while pretending to be listening to Lady Gaga, be freed and feted as a hero turned scapegoat? I am glad not everyone has forgotten that he’s being held in harsh detention conditions.
I was feeling a little down with the inevitable discovery of Moammar Gadhafi in the drainage pipe, with the surprise extra of an online snuff film. I have a certain hankering for anti-US despots with long careers and flamboyant outfits. No one, absolutely no one, better embodied the mix of African, Arab and Easy Rider fashion. Moammar, you’ll be missed. RIP!
All four stars of Sex & the City II have arrived in Tokyo for the premiere tomorrow. Love how they are decked out! And love how they are recognizing the importance of fashion-obsessed Japanese as their fan base.
Note: I’ll be attending the movie without the husband, who seems confused about the point of the movie. It’s about friendship, looking good, and ladies! Plus there are Arabs! I hope the sister-in-law can come with me!
So are you preparing yourself for this cinematic soft candy? I think of the four ladies as my ara-fi (アラフィ, around 50 years old) senpai. I am of course curious about the ladies’ encounters with Arab men and camels. I love how it’s opening quickly in Tokyo. Photo taken in Ginza.
