Is wrestling’s “butt drag” sexual assault?!

This high school student is being charged in rural California with sexual assault for performing a wrestling maneuver called a “butt drag.” The NY Times unhelpfully explains that a “butt drag” is “involves grabbing the haunch of an opponent to gain leverage.” It may also have involved non-consensual penetration, but the story is kinda vague on exactly what happened.

I’d like to know more about wrestling and about the student’s mom’s hair-do.

    1. Wow! That’s a lot more details courtesy of the Fresno Bee! Love how the perp is completely unapologetic about the his need to “motivate.” They should lock him up. Anal penetration requires consent, no?

  1. I read a couple more articles about this – as it mentions, first, the butt drag isn’t a common move, but is “legit” when just grabbing the “haunches.” But fingers inserted…that’s just wrong! Seems like the boys dad fully supports his son’s bullying tactics!

As for DADT, I’m quite pleased it was repealed. (As a lady who likes the boys though, this would not have affected my “to join/not to join” military choices.)

I read some recent articles that some Christian chaplains were thinking of not renewing their stay in the military due to this! They said they can not stay with an institution that condones this horrible behavior!

Now, to me, homosexuality is not a sin – but let’s suppose that to these chaplains, they feel it is…but so is adultery, murder, gluttony, etc. etc. Upon my last check – no Christian chaplains were leaving the military due to military members cheating on their spouses! No chaplains left the military after the many reported causes of rape by male officers of female officers. No chaplains have left the military because…there is killing going on!

What gives these supposedly Christian chaplains the authority to chose which “sins” they will accept. All the more reason; why I am happy to be Jewish!
